On Friday, June 16th, the WMF 2023 Startup Competition Final took place on the Mainstage.
Within the World Startup Fest - the international event for startups, scaleups, and investors held within the WMF - the Final of the largest international Startup competition was held. It involved both Italian and international startups presenting their projects to investors, market players, accelerators, major companies, and the various actors of the international innovation ecosystem present at WMF 2023 (June 15th, 16th, and 17th at Fiera di Rimini).
The competition, livestreamed worldwide, saw the representatives of the 6 finalist startups taking turns on the main stage. Through a 3-minute pitch each, they presented their projects and how they address the 12 Future Challenges identified by WMF, aiming to convince the official jury and the audience and win the prizes at stake.
The Jury Award, with a potential value of 1 million euros, grants access to the Startup World Cup Final in San Francisco; the Audience Award, with a value of 160,000 euros provided by partners. There is also the Special Mention, worth 15,000 euros in services, provided by Search On Media Group.

JURY AWARD WINNER
Yalla is the first super app in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region designed to cater to all daily financial and non-financial needs, providing users with a comprehensive ecosystem. AUDIENCE AWARD WINNER
Cyrkl is born with the idea of implementing the principles of the circular economy in businesses, from raw material sourcing to waste reduction and disposal. Cyrkl's mission is to help companies from all industries improve their sustainability by optimizing the management of material flows. Through the development of an international digital marketplace, it connects producers and recyclers without intermediaries. This allows companies to discover the true value of their waste, promoting material circularity and the use of secondary raw materials, thus creating industrial symbiosis in practice.
SPECIAL MENTION AWARD WINNER
Wallife aims to be the first company to provide insurance solutions for risks arising from technological and scientific innovation.
The company operates in three research areas: Genetics (insurance for genetic and biological identity, with products such as insurance for stem cell transplantation or assisted reproduction), Biometrics (insurance for digital identity theft or credit fraud, with the only policy capable of reimbursing unlawfully taken money), and Biohacking (insurance for technology implanted within the human body).
